Support the campaign

This campaign is funded by the people who want the questions asked.

No corporate money, no favours owed, no one to answer to but the ratepayers of Carling. Door hangers, printing, postage and mail drops are what a township campaign actually costs, and every dollar goes to reaching people who have never been shown these numbers.

If you would rather give an hour than a dollar — walking a road, hanging a door piece, hosting five neighbours at your kitchen table — that is worth more. Call me.

Easiest — e-transfer
campaignformayor@davewelling.ca

Send an Interac e-transfer to that address from your own bank. Put your name and your address in the message field so the contribution can be properly recorded and receipted.

By cheque
Dave Welling
3-31 Pengally Bay Road
Carling, ON  P0G 1G0

Make it out to Dave Welling and include your name and address with it. A cheque is the simplest paper trail there is, which is rather the point of this campaign.

The one rule to know
Nothing over $25 in cash

A contribution of more than $25 cannot be made in cash. Use e-transfer or a cheque instead — both leave a record, which is what the rule is for.

I am asking for money to tell people the truth about their own tax bill. If that is worth twenty dollars to you, it is worth telling a neighbour about too — and that part is free.

Before you give

Municipal campaign contributions in Ontario carry rules on who may give, how much, and what must be recorded and reported. If you are unsure whether a contribution qualifies, ask me first — I would rather answer the question than return the money.
